| big_squirrel02-18-08, 03:05 PM | by the wording of Eldritch Spellweave, it would appear that it is possible to apply damage-changing essences to non-lethal spells and make them lethal. I know people have discussed beguiler/warlock/eldrith theurge stuff, and I searched those threads to see if there was any info on this idea, but I couldn't find anything. is that within the bounds of the wording, or is it just a pipe dream? |

Now, does it make the new damage lethal, or non-lethal? I don't think there is any kind of "nonlethal" energy damage. At least, I haven't seen any. In addition, Spellweave applies the essence, and the essence changes the damage type to its own, so, I'd say this works. |

| big_squirrel02-21-08, 07:44 PM | that's the plan, yeah. I'm particularly interested in Inevitable Defeat, since it doesn't allow a save for the initial damage, but I'm a little confused as to how that spell would work, since it lasts several rounds already and adding in Brimstone Blast's effect of potentially setting them on fire for a couple rounds is something I don't understand. would the burning from the blast shape and the extra rounds of damage from the spell stack, which takes priority if only one effect can exist, things like that. of course, I could avoid that problem and not use that particular spell... |
