| jgemmo04-27-07, 01:22 PM | I know there is a rage mage prc but is there a rage cleric prc? Many thanks. |
| Spikes01k04-27-07, 02:01 PM | I hope not |
| FreAkOuTRG04-27-07, 02:24 PM | There is a variant cleric that gets rage, but I don't know about PrCs |
| Utric Aelnoth04-27-07, 02:58 PM | So far as PrCs, no, none exist to my knowledge. However, a dragon magazine issue (I forget the number, but I own it, to say the least), gives a variant cleric Rage and the Rage-based increases as a barbarian. The cost: Turn Undead + Domains. So you may be a beatstick who can heal your own wounds, but you can't make the dead run away in fear or channel extra spells via domains. Not only that, but you must be of a nonlawful alignment, otherwise, like the Barbarian, you lose the rage. The wonderful thing about a rage cleric is that it makes Frenzied Berserker a much more tolerable option. Granted it's a wonderful tank to throw at people, but if you really don't want to hurt your allies (or, in the case of what my DM typically throws at us) innocent bystanders, you need to make a DC 20 Will Save. Any cleric worth his salt will have a wonderful Will save bonus (since Wis is the god score, literally, for a cleric) with which to voluntarily end their frenzy. Granted, instead of waiting until 6th level to become one, you must wait until 8th level to gain the +6 base Attack Bonus required, it gives you time to build up your will save, and makes it more likely for nonhuman rage clerics to meet the feat prerequisite. |

| FreAkOuTRG04-27-07, 06:26 PM | Dragon 333 |

And since it's the cleric who's killing the rest of the party, he can always raise them afterword. :P  |
