Reaping Mauler question [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-29-07, 03:18 AM Which would make a better reaping Mauler, a Monk or a Fighter? My gut says Monk...but fighter would probably connect with grapples more.

03-29-07, 11:33 AM I perfer fighter, because you can gain a bunch more of the cool grappleing feats.

As for better, im sure someone has a long elaborite proof that monk is better.

Then consider both. A level or two for the monk feats and skills and and save bumps and fighter for the rest of the feats and a good base attack. If there is one of the ascetic feats that stacks fighter and monk, grab that... I'm not sure there is though...

I'd go rouge/monk. Sneak attack in a grapple with deadly precision spiked gauntlets!

Yeah me too, and I think you get your sneak attack damage during a grapple if your opponent is pinning irrc. Maybe even fighter/monk/rogue pry mostly fighter like monk 4 and rogue 3.
