Rules ? about the Uncanny Trickster?!?!?!?!??? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-28-07, 10:47 PM i have some questions about the uncanny tricksters or UT's ability advancment.
firstly i am not to sure on how it works, when you only have one class (two classes im fine on...gain 2 effective levels in a class you cross classed into good job)...but if you have only one class how would it work....example if i had say about five levels in scout and i took all 3 levels of UT and got the 2 levels of ability progresion i want to know what would happen after the fact. say i took 2 more levels of scout would i get the corosponding abilitys again? or would they be waisted levels because i already had them? more spacificly would the skirmish ability stack....ex. +2d6 as an UT then as a scout would it add up to +4d6 because i have gotten these two ableitys form two sepprate classes? or would i continue leveling from 2 levels after i stopped and took UT? this is realy confusing and the limmited discription in the CS is not pointing me or my group in any one direction....pleez comment and help us out!!!

11-29-07, 01:25 AM Yes, they would stack.

A Scout5/UT3/Scout2 would count as having nine levels of Scout when determining what Scout class features it has.

11-29-07, 08:07 AM It's very similar to PrC's that have "+1 level to existing spellcasting class".

Those UT levels will stack with your Scout levels when determining the 'special' abilities column of the Scout class.

Does the class feature "+1 of existing class features" also apply to Prestige classes? Can I get +1 of a previously taken PrC from this PrC?

Imagine the following: I've got a Rogue/Invisible Blade character, around say level 10. I take the prestige class Uncanny Trickster for lvl 11; then at lvl 12, I add the class features of the Invisible Blade, not the Rogue. Legal? By the RAW I'm not sure why not...
