I was listening to National Public Radio (NPR) and they interviewed Viggo Mortensen a.k.a Aragorn about this new movie (can't remember the name of it). Any ways, they referenced certain Russian thiefs thast existed at the time of the Czars. They were pro thieves. They didn't hide it either.

In fact, these thieves had tattoos covering their bodies that depicted their accomplishments. Anyone who saw them knew their profession, what they stole, which jails they had been in, how long they'd been in jail, etc... Some/all of these tats were in code so that not just anyone could read them, but if you could, their body was like a book.

Any ways, I thought it'd be a good assassain/thief hybrid PrC. Anyone wanna roll with it its up to you. I'm just an idea man, you won't get any numbers outta me.

The only way I'll accept a Russian - or Eastern European in general -themed PrC is if WoTC brings back Minsc! And Boo!

Weird, in some ways Rashemen seemed more like Bavaria/Switzerland than Russia. Anyway, El_Shawno, read the answers to your FR post and please avoid making the same post too many times.

given the tatoos, basically smacks of yakuza. i thought they were called Yari's or something. don't quote me on that.

i know it's a matter of cultural difference, but i'd not want to announce my illicit trade, especially when captured by authorities. kinda' screws you on that whole Bluff, "no, these tats are just from a wild bachelor party."

as for Faerun, i always thought Rashemen seemd a close 2nd to Russia, Ukraine, Poland, etc. kinda' mirror slavic nations in look/feel.

for your recommendations, i'd just roll w/ Guild Thief and align cultural flavor. perhaps even having Tatoo Focus (FR) for Assassins, etc. any class will do, it's simply how you play it that matters; a sorcerer in Calimsham is a court vizier perhaps, in the North he's some guy w/ dragon blood. let your skills and feats flesh him out, but it's the RP that is your meat and potatos really.

I posted both places on purpose. Sorry if that's a problem. I won't care if it gets taken off, however you do that.
