sealmaster prestige class? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-19-07, 02:21 PM I was thinking about creating a sealmaster prestige class, someone who writes on small parchments and creates various effects (explosive, freeze, holding, etc.), and was wondering if this has been done before in core books or on these forums. Thanks in advance.

06-19-07, 03:50 PM There are one or two rune master prestige classes... I think it's Runecaster (Forgetten realms) and Runesmith (Races of Stone). Both are for dwarves. Complete Arcane has the geometer which learns to place spells in sigils and take up less space with scribed spells/spellbooks. Those are off the top of my head.

06-19-07, 03:57 PM Well, those two (runesmith and runecaster) would be my first bet, as they inscribe spells on a physical medium and thus prepare them for casting. Gem magic (Magic of Faerun) is also similar to what you propose, and you can swap gems for something else in the feat.

06-20-07, 01:14 PM however hard it is too not agree and help make a seal summoner, im gonna give some input on actually makin the class. The idea reminds me alot of the Kanji mages in the MTG betrayers book. They simply paint sybols and they are used for spells, they have many symbols some are indeed explosions and the like others are more precise, one kanji mage summoned a frost ghost that kills everyone then traps her in another kanji-stone.

07-01-07, 04:18 PM Maybe I will make a PrC that controls seals......does anyone know if it's been done besides as druids having them as companion?

07-02-07, 07:25 PM Kind of... the beastmaster prc. Either that or pay a druid to awaken some seals or get an artificer to make a few scrolls of awakening and take take some levels in thrallherd. You will then be the Seal Master.

Possibly with a dire seal... who uses a club out of a sense of irony.
