I'm pretty sure there are others, or feats, in other books as well.

I'm fairly certain that there is something along those lines in Comp Divine, Liber Mortis, and possible more.

But yeah.

The Swift Hunter feat lets a Ranger/Scout get full skirmish damage and crits against favored enemies that are normally immune to crits and sneak attacks.

There are also some nifty trinkets in the Magic Item Compendium that let you crit and sneak attack undead.

Truedeath crystals let you sneak attack undead. (Magic Item Compendium)

Alternate rgoue class feature in Dungeonscape allows you to deal half sneak attack damage to creatures normally immune to sneak attack.

Forgive my ignorance, but where is Swift Hunter found?

Is it just me, or should it be impossible to sneak attack something with no actual anatomy? If it's undead, it doesn't have a "weak spot" per say. If it's an ooze, you can't exactly eviscerate it. Anybody think that sometimes the stuff in the books is all just nonsense and that we should just stick with the core books?

Is nonsense that a person who has focused on hurting particular types of creatures and also on hit-and-run tactics is able to make good use of hit-and-run against those same creatures? Not to me.

You can also use spells like Gravestrike or feats like Razing Strike. Both of these require some divine casting power though.

there are feat and spells that enable sneak attack vs. undead...or constructs or whatever rule you wish to cicumnavigate.

Penetrating Stike (Ex) in Dungeonscape seemed like the best. it's an alternate class feature (Rogue), replaces Trap Sense which kinda' sucked to begin w/. basically, you can apply 1/2 your sneak attack die against targets during a FLANK ONLY that are normally immune "to extra damage", etc.

wording is vague, but does this or does it not cover undead, constructs, plants, etc?

In dnd, it is not a matter of whether something is impossible or not, but simply whether you have access to the appropriate splatbook which allows this.;)

Deathstrike Bracers (MIC) is also a nice option.

Think of it this way, you have hunted these creature for SO long, you know how to disrupt the flow of negative energy in their bodies, that you are now able to crit and/or sneak attack them, because of your expertise with the way that the negative energy flows in their bodies

Also, a rogue/cleric iirc has a spell that allows him/her to add SA damage against undead. Rogue/mages can do it to constructs. Apart from that, and what people have already said, iirc CPsi Lurks could sneak attack undead.

There are numerous ways to do this. The way that sticks in my mind is a set of third-party (gasp!) feats - stout heart & death angel. Stout heart requires Iron Will and Great Fortitude and gives a +3 to each, while death angel allows you to sneak attack any undead. Kind of expensive to gain, but worth every bit once you gain it.
