| Kyryc178002-25-07, 08:28 PM | Are there any PrC that give a Rogue the option of using his Sneak Attack at a range of greater than 30 ft? Even if they're homebrewed (just please stick a link on it). |
| calronmoonflower02-25-07, 08:35 PM | The Crossbow Sniper feat from the Player's handbook II lets you do so with a crossbow. Spellwarp Snipped from the Complete Scoundrel can do so with a ray. |
| The_Shaman02-25-07, 09:21 PM | Order of the Bow initiate eventually allows you to deal precision damage (incl. SA) up to 60 feet, and I think so does the Peerless Archer (Silver Marches). Also, higher-level assassins and a few others get a spell that allows them, among other things, to do sneak attacks at up to 60 feet (sniper's eye, iirc, it's from the Complete Adventurer). Also, afaik there was a low-level assassin spell that allowed SA damage at any distance... |
| Wonton200602-26-07, 12:53 AM | That would be an interesting PrC idea. I mean, a PrC that eventually gets sneak attack (360 feet) or something? |
| crimsonwolf02-26-07, 01:20 AM | that would be a eewwww.... i mean imagene how broken that would be? and combinded that with things like invsiblity ring and other things that can help your remain hidden and flank ... even the more eveil tatics like opening up a gate behind your oppenet and just filling them up with arrows...(still under the 30ft line becuse the arrow is not travling that far physcly and also the gate shortens the distance alot) |
| The_Shaman02-26-07, 03:14 AM | If you want to do a lot of damage regardless of range, I'd suggest going with the Deepwood sniper instead (3.0 Masters of the Wild). Instead of SA, it gets critical multiplier bonuses. |

| ShneekeyTheLost02-27-07, 08:04 PM | My Shadow Sniper (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=792889) Prestige Class has just about exactly what you want. 4th level ability, Sniper's Eye, gives him a 60' range to sneak attack with. At 8th level, Improved Sniper's Eye lets him do it to the first range increment, although he has to Take Aim first (probably at least one full turn aiming). It also gets some cool Shadow-based stuff. It's still GM dependant, as it requires a peaceful contact with a denizen from the Plane of Shadow. |
