Dead_Weasel 09-05-07, 02:21 AM	Take levels in whichever of these PrCs (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=772393) you like, and do whatever you can to boost your caster level, since drow have scaling SR. I would swear that there is a metamagic feat similar to a ranger's favored enemy class feature but cannot seem to find it at the moment. EDIT: Bane Magic in Heroes of Horror is the feat I mentioned.
dman11235 09-05-07, 02:57 PM	Ranger variant for favored enemy against creatures of Lolth. RotW. I know there was a PrC that specifically that hunts drow somewhere, but I can't remember where.
Mojo_Rat 09-05-07, 03:22 PM	The Ranger Variant in races of the wild results in higher bonuses against traditional Elf enemies and is a good option. Drow of the underdark also has the kinslayer PrC but its drow only so probably not a good option. It is technically anti drow though :)
The_Shaman 09-06-07, 04:41 PM	For a caster, I'd suggest something versatile with no lost levels and get magic favored enemy. A PrC with bonus feats for spell focus/penetration, extra metamagic etc would be my favourite. A psion could get into Slayer, but I don't know of an arcanist PrC that advances FE or the like. Another option is to check the Imaskari Vengeance Taker from Underdark. While it only has medium spell progression, it has a decent SA and a FE-like feature. For melee, te RotW ranger 1st sub level is a great start. From then on you could either go pure or do a minor scout dip with Swift Hunter. It even lets you qualify for most of the ranger epic feats. Oh, btw, the Solitary Hunter ranger variant trades the animal companion for some nice enhancement to your FE feature. Get yourself an enemy spirit pouch (I think it was a 3.0 item from their ranger/druid book, improves FE and adds +1 to attack vs 1 FE) and you're set.

I'm not really sure about a sorceror, but I've played a good drow character that was a ranger/cleric of Elistree, so she was very good with the drow smitin'. It probably doesn't help much, but I tried.

ArgulFraster 09-28-07, 10:06 PM	Thanks. My DM has ruled that if I play a basic ranger but limit my FEB to just Drow, I get a +3 bonus. Worth it? (BTW, the race I'm playing's favored class is Sorc.)
The_Shaman 09-29-07, 01:54 PM	Well it's worse than the RotW sub level... but if the campaign is focused against drow, it may be. Does it at least cover the other creatures Lloth is affiliated with - yochlol, monstrous spiders, driders and so on?
