I am trying to create a comedy campaign setting, and Ted the Flayer is one of the main deities in it. as such, I created this prestige class. Note: I will be using the sanity variant rules in this campaign.

Ted Savant
The Savants of Ted are some of the most depraved beings in the universe, twisted even by the standards of the Church of Ted and the Church of Gooogle. They exist on the fringes of humanity, barely considered thinking, and certainly not sane. Only Illithids can think anything at all like Ted, so one must be an Illithid, or have an Illithid ancestor to become a Ted Savant.
Hit Dice: d6

Requirements:
Alignment: Non-Lawful and Non-Good
Skills: Knowledge (Psionics) 8 Ranks, Knowledge ( Forbidden Lore) 8 Ranks
Feats: Illithid Heritage (or be a Mindflayer)
Psionics: Able manifest 2nd-level powers
Sanity: Must have a sanity score lower than 85
Special: Must undergo a horrific rite of passage in a group of Ted Savants

Class Skills (2 + Int Modifier per Level): Bluff, Concentration, Disguise, Hide, Intimidate, Knowledge (All Skills, taken individually), Listen, Move Silently, Psicraft, Sense Motive, Spot, Use Psionic Device.

BAB Fort Ref Will Abilities
1. +0 +0 +0 +2 Mind Blast (15-foot cone, stun 1d4 rounds)
2. +1 +0 +0 +3 Mental Erosion
3. +1 +1 +1 +3 Mind Blast 2/day
4. +2 +1 +1 +4 Mental Erosion
5. +2 +1 +1 +4 Mind Blast 3/day
6. +3 +2 +2 +5 Mind Blast (30-foot cone, Stun 2d4 rounds)
7. +3 +2 +2 +5 Mind Blast 4/day
8. +4 +2 +2 +6 Mental Erosion
9. +4 +3 +3 +6 Mind Blast 5/day
10.+5 +3 +3 +7 Mind Blast (60-foot cone, stuns 3d4 rounds, or confuses 2d4 rounds)

Class Features

Manifesting: At every level, a Ted Savant gains additional power points per day and access to new powers as if he had also gained a level in whatever manifesting class he belonged to before he added the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (bonus feats, metapsionic or item creation feats, and so on). This essentially means that he adds the level of Ted Savant to the level of whatever manifesting class the character has, then determines power points per day, powers known, and manifester level accordingly. If a character had more than one manifesting class before he became a Ted Savant, he must decide to which class he adds the new level of Ted Savant for the purpose of determining power points per day, powers known, and manifester level.
Sanity Loss: A Ted Savant’s mental stability continually deteriorates. At every level, Ted Savant’s Sanity Score Permanently drops 5 points. This effect is irreversible.
Mind Blast: At 1st level, a Ted Savant gains the Ilithid Blast feat. Ted Savants also gain additional benefits from this class. The number of times per day this is usable, and the effectiveness of it, is determined by your class levels.
At 1st level, the effect is a 15 foot cone that stuns creatures for 1d4 rounds.
At 6th level, the effect is a 30 foot cone that stuns creatures for 2d4 rounds.
At 10th level, the effect is a 60 foot cone that either stuns creatures for 3d4 rounds, or confuses them (as the confusion spell) for 2d4 rounds. The choice must be made when the action is announced.
Mental Erosion: A Ted Savant’s mind is dulled in some areas by his insanity, and sharpened in others. At 2nd, 4th, and 8th level, a Ted Savants mental ability scores change. At each of these levels, two of the mental ability scores (Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma) decrease by two, and the other increases by two.

I was wondering if this class is balanced. It's basically a rip-off of the flayerspawn psychic, with the addition of full manifesting. I'm not sure if the sanity loss, mental erosion, and lack of illithid feats makes up for the improved manifesting and confusion at 10th level. Any help would be very much appreciated.

How do you put a table in? I tried pasting it, but that's not working.

{code}table{/code}. Replace {} with [].

Ummm... Does it have to be a URL or something? Sorry, I'm not very tech savvy.

All you need to do is type {code}the table here{/code} replacing the {} with []. You have to manually type in the table and use spaces to align it. Look at the thread that's just a little below here for templates (it's called the PrC builders cheat sheet). Qoute one of the templates and then copy/paste and fill in the blanks.

No offence to your immagination (or this Ted the Flayer deity). But Ted doesn't strike me as an afully evil or twisted name, if I were a character the met one these Savants they wouldn't have to use their mindblast abilites, I'd be too busy giggling to do anything anyway.

Also if he is supposed to be for mindflayers as well as Mindflayer Heritage users, there should be something more distinguished about them than a simple mindblast and an ability score increase (maybe you could make some sort of Psionics that powers up with low sanity? As well as decreasing the owners sanity as they become more like Ted [without the normal penalty of having your character taken away when your sanity reaches 0, because of madness].)

Beware the wrath of Ted and Gooogle. I don't have a link to him but Ted is lurking somewhere on these boards (and if you want to better understand Gooogle, just go the site and do an image search with safesearch off;)).
