| danisheraser04-08-07, 11:38 AM | In Complete Adventurer pg. 81. The rules say that the requirements for a "Tempest" is: Dodge, Improved Two-Weapon Fighting, Mobility, Spring Attack, Two-Weapon Fighting. The odd thing here is, that to take Improved Two-Weapon Fighting you need to have 17 in dex (PHB pg. 96). However the example of a Tempest in Complete Adventurer (pg. 82), "Dwotia Keenaxe", Female dwarf fighter 6/tempest 3 only has 16 in dex. My question is, has there been any errata to that prestige class, or perhaps even to the feat Imp. Two-weapon Fighting? Thanks |

There is, of course, the sample Anarchic Initiate from Complete Psionic (who technically couldn't qualify for the PrC), but that's a different story. Just add in an item that gives +2 Dexterity. Seriously, WotC has explicitly said that increases to ability scores (even temporary ones) can be used to qualify for feats. Which makes qualifying for some epic feats a lot easier. |

My DM would like to see it :( Page 33 of the Main FAQ A feat sometimes requires you to have a certain ability score, which is the case with Two-Weapon Fighting (it requires Dex 15). A character has, say, Dex 13, but wears an item, in this case gloves of Dexterity +2, and now her Dex score is 15. Can she take the feat and have it be active only when she wears the item? Actually yes, she could take the feat, but she would lose the use of the feat if, for whatever reason, she loses the bonus from the item. |
