| GhostPilgrim01-21-08, 07:27 AM | All right, I'm a DM who is confused about the temple raider of Ollidammara. One of my players took it as a prestige class and I must confess that I'm completely lost on what they do or how they are supposed to operate. What motivates them to steal all this stuff, how are they supposed to work in a party? Are they meant to work solo to acquire this stuff? Is it a religious quest to steal these relics, an activity to irk the other gods, Indiana Jones-style quest for knowledge or is it just for the adventure and loot? Help! -Ghost Pilgrim |
| Amaril01-21-08, 10:32 AM | How much do you know about Olidammara? |
| GhostPilgrim01-21-08, 04:32 PM | Sadly, I'm woefully ignorant other than the basic, "thiefy god." Just what I could gather from the players handbook. Rogues and bards like him, god of trickery, etc. Where I really need help is fitting this temple raiding into a party dynamic and understanding why they do what they do. |
| Amaril01-21-08, 08:30 PM | They do what they do because it's a challenge. However, I wouldn't design encounters for the party to help the rogue. Rather I would have the rogue's skills be a tool for adventures with the party. Perhaps they need to stop a cult who have a relic encased inside of their shrine or they need to retrieve an important item from an ancient temple. |
