11-29-07, 03:18 AM Information that is not in the Big 3(MM, DMG, PHB) is not supposed to be posted on the site as far as stats, prereq, and so on. You may want to counter argue that you have seen these things on the site already. That may be true, but those people who may have posted such things are in violation of the board rules.

If you are new to the board, most of us are not smarta**es like dman11235, unless provoked.

So, here is my new-and-improved response:

The Thayan Knight is in the Complete Warrior. I cannot post much more than that, as it is not OGL.

EDIT: I guess I should thank you for pointing out that I was sounding a bit cranky. I try to not let that happen.

11-29-07, 11:00 AM Technically, Dman is right. However, he mistook (I think) Thayan Gladiator (Champions of Ruin) with Thayan Knight (Lords of Darkness/Complete Warrior). This information is from the Prestige Class Index (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/prc), and thus freely available. Offering more would be a breach of the forum CoC - after all, the prestige class is WotC intellectual property.

Normally, I could point you towards crystalkeep.com - their compendia offer more information than what is strictly admissible here, but I assume they have an understanding with WotC. However, to save you the time, I looked at it and the Thayan Gladiator was not included, even though other FR PrCs have been. Why this is the case I do not know (if you did mean Thayan Knight, it does have something on it.)

You are right, and I apologize. I could have said that with more tact than what I did. I guess that seeing someone being corrected in that way is something I don't like. I will be more mature next time I point out a nicer way to say something.

I actually did not know that there was a Thayan Gladiator. Learn something new every day. I do need a copy of CoR and CoV though.

12-03-07, 07:09 PM Actually, we're allowed to post general stuff. Just not exact figures. So here goes a general description of the Thayan Gladiator:
You must be of a race that offers at least one natural attack, for Thayans like to see monsters battle for their lives. You, however, are special in that you have received a ritual that makes you, and especially one of your natural attacks, tougher. This natural attack develops higher damage, better critical potential, and special powers that work much like weapon enchantments, at no cost in gp. You also gain additional abilities based on more classical gladiatorial schticks, i.e., bonuses for studying an opponent before attacking him, and bonuses for amusing the crowd.
You need to be an exceptional fighter even before entering this PrC, either because you're a member of a physically powerful race or because you've trained in other classes before. Thayans are not interested in watching (demi-)humans fight, so Human or Dwarven or whatever Monks need not apply. Always remember that you are a slave, though, and bound to your master. Who may chose to keep you or sell you or have you killed, if you don't amuse him and his peers according to your status.
There. That's about as much as I'm allowed to say, if I understand this board's policy correctly.
