Of course the crafter can choose to use xp instead but not a combonation of both gems and xp. The Crafter HD: d4 Skill pts: 2+int Requirements: Spellcasting: Ability to cast at least 1 lvl 3 spell. Skills: Craft (Any) 5 ranks, Spellcraft 5 ranks. Feats: Any one item creation feat and any one metamagic. The Crafter LVL | BAB | F/R/W | SPECIAL | SPELLS PER DAY 1 | +0 | 0/0/2 | Master Scribe | +1 of existing class Scroll 2 | +1 | 0/0/3 | Brew Potion | +1 of existing class 3 | +1 | 1/1/3 | Craft | +1 of existing class Wonderous Item 4 | +2 | 1/1/4 | Bonus Feat | +1 of existing class 5 | +2 | 2/2/4 | Craft Arms and| +1 of existing class Armor 6 | +3 | 2/2/5 | Craft Wand | +1 of existing class 7 | +3 | 3/3/5 | Craft Rod | +1 of existing class 8 | +4 | 3/3/6 | Bonus Feat | +1 of existing class 9 | +4 | 4/4/6 | Forge Ring | +1 of existing class 10 | +5 | 4/4/7 | Craft Staff | +1 of existing class Class Features: Special - All Item Creation Feats listed do not require xp to make. They instead require 1 or more gems equaling in price compared to the xp required to craft the item. Bonus Feats - Any metamagic or item creation feat or choose from the following: Read Divine/arcane You can read arcane/divine words from a scroll or other magic items. Prerequisite: Crafter prestige class. Benefit: An arcane caster is capible of reading divine scrolls or other magic items and vice virsa. (I.E.: If you are arcane caster you can read divine magic.) Normal: Arcane spellcasters (wizards, sorcerers, and bards) cannot cast divine spells from a scroll, nor can divine spellcasters (clerics, druids, paladins, and rangers) cast arcane spells in this manner. Fast Craft (Item Creation) The crafter can craft any magic item he/she can already craft twice as fast as normal. Prerequisite: Any Item Creation Feat Benefit: The crafter can craft any magic item he/she can already craft twice as fast as normal. (I.E.: A wizard wants to craft a wand of Darkvision. This will cost 2,250 gp thus taking 3 days. With fast craft this can be done in 1 and a half days.) Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new item creation feat. Class Skills: Alchemy (int), consentration (con), Craft (any) (int), knowledge (any) (int), profession (crafter) (wis), spellcraft (int), scry (int). ((Have fun with this!)):) :) :D
Kidd_Cappillo 04-12-07, 12:46 PM	I seem to forget quite alot if I don't write it down...:D The crafter has to have the exact ammount of gems as xp as the gold price in gems or both xp and gems are taken in the creation process. (Example: a wand of change self costs 325gp. Mezo the Magnificent a wizard/crafter has 3 gems equaling 25gp, 300gp and 100gp. He casts the spell and crafts the wand but feals extreemly drained. He notices that the gems he used are gone and xp as well. He didn't have the exact amount needed.)
