| Athaal08-25-07, 11:35 AM | The Dreadknight The Dreadknight is a defensive knight, who sacrifices his own defenses for others. Dreadknights always fight for something they believe in, whether it helps good or evil. Prerequisites: Lawful Any Armor Proficiency (Heavy) Shield Proficiency BAB +10 ------ HD: d12 SP/Level: 2 + Int Class Skills: Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Diplomacy (Cha), Gather Information (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Swim (Str). Level BAB | Fort Ref Will Special 1 +1 2 0 0 Shield Stance 2 +2 3 0 0 Titanic Constitution 3 +3 3 1 1 Dreadknight's Stance 1/day 4 +4 4 1 1 Improved Toughness 5 +5 4 1 1 Withstand 6 +6/1 5 2 2 Dreadknight's Stance 2/day 7 +7/2 5 2 2 Anger 8 +8/3 6 2 2 Greater Toughness 9 +9/4 6 3 3 Dreadknight's Stance 3/day 10 +10/5 7 3 3 Dread Shield Stance From level 1 onwards, all allies fighting alongside the Dreadknight gain benefit of his shield bonius to AC, as generic bonus that stacks with all others. Two Dreadknights fighting alongside therefore would both act as if they had two shields. Titanic Constitution From level 2 onwards, the Dreadknight adds 1-1/2 his Constitution bonus to all things that are modified by it (HP, Concentration, Fortitude saving throws etc). Dreadknight's Stance 1/day at level 3 and one additional time/day every 3 levels thereafter (6, 9), the Dreadknight can transfer all benefit of his armor and shield to one adjacent ally as an immediate action. The shield bonus is generic and stacks with shield stance. The Dreadknight loses all benefit of his armor and shield whilst in this stance. The Dreadknight's Stance lasts a number of rounds equal to Dreadknight class level. As a swift action, it can be ended. The armor bonus granted does not limit the allies Dexterity. Example (Dreadknight wears Hvy armor and Twr Shield): Character Dreadknight, lvl 13 | Other character, lvl 13 AC before stance (10 + 1 + Dex + armor 11 + 0 + 8 + 4 = 23 11 + 3 = 14 bonus + shield Bonus) During stance 11 14 + 8 + 4 = 26 With Shield Stance 11 26 + 4 = 30 Improved Toughness As the Feat. Withstand At level 5 the Dreadknight is as an immediate action able to use his whole Fortitude save instead of his Reflex when calculating reflex damage. This cannot be using in conjunction with Evasion or Improved Evasion. Anger At level 7 the Dreadknight is able to project an aura of anger similar to a fear effect as a free action. All foe and allies must make a save or suffer from the fear effect. Greater Toughness As Improved Toughness, but the effect stacks (effectively Improved Toughness is taken twice). Dread At level 10, a Dreadknight is able to fly into a defensive rage a number of times/day equal to his Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Dread grants the Dreadknight a temporary +2 bonus to Constitution and a +4 shield bonus to AC. The shield bonus can be both shared and transferred with shield stance and Dreadknight's Stance respectively. It stacks with all other shield bonuses. It can be maintained for a number of rounds equal to 3 + his (newly improved) Constition modifier. Whilst in Dread, the Dreadknight cannot speak; this prevents the use of skills requiring speech to work (Diplomacy, Speechcraft etc). |

| Athaal08-25-07, 12:02 PM | The two stances stack for added benefit. Shield Stance is a passive ability really, whereas Dreadknight's Stance isn't. They both stack as far as I have thought. It also makes the calss stronger. |
