Mounted Rush Once per day, a mounted dust rider may urge on his mount. This ability treats the Mount and Rider as if they are hasted for one round. The dust rider gets one additional use of this ability per day at third class level and every three class levels gained after that. Roughrider A Dust Rider gains a bonus to all Handle Animal and Ride checks with his mount. This bonus is equal to 1/2 his class level rounded down. Bonus Feat The dust rider gains a bonus feat, this feat may be selected from any feat with Mounted Combat as a prerequisite that the dust rider qualifies for. At level 7, the dust rider gains a second bonus feat. Mounted Warrior The Dust Rider gains the ability to use his ride skill to protect his mount from harm as per the mounted combat feat an additional time per round. Desert Creature The Dust Rider gains the Fire Subtype as well as immunity to Dessication damage while on his mount. Paladins A Paladin who takes levels in Dust Rider may continue to advance as a Paladin. Heat Endurance The mount gains the Heat Endurance feat Improved Heat Endurance The mount gains the Improved Heat Endurance feat Desert Creature Gain the Fire Subtype and immunity to dessication damage.
Dead_Weasel 05-18-07, 04:20 PM	Personally, I would expand the bonus feat selection to include some basic feats in addition to those that have Mounted Combat as a prereq. The fire subtype might be a little bit too good; I would replace it with Improved Heat Endurance, and give it to the character sooner. Giving the fire subtype to the mount seems balanced to me though. Good job!
Darth Sephiroth 05-18-07, 07:54 PM	The firesubtype gives other penalties, perhaps I could limit it to while mounted though, which would make it on par with some of the barbarian feats that grant subtypes while raging
