Requirements

Skills: Survival 9.
Feat: Alertness, Brachiation, Self-Sufficient, Track.
Special: Must be able to use Rage and Wildshape as class abilities, must have spent a long time living in the wilderness.

The Savage’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are: Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Ride (Dex), Spot (Wis), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str).
Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Class Features

Animal Companion
At 1st level, a Savage’s levels stack with any level that give you animal companion the character may have for determining the characters animal companion.
Rage
At 1st level and every odd number after that, a Savage the number of times he can enter a state of rage increases by one.
Terrain Mastery
At 1st level, a Savage may choose a Terrain type and while the Savage is in the chosen Terrain mastery gives a Savage a bonus on checks involving a skill useful in that terrain, or some other appropriate benefit. A Savage also knows how to fight dangerous creatures typically found in that terrain, gaining a +1 insight bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls against creatures with that terrain mentioned in the Environment entry of their descriptions. The Savage only gains the bonus if the creature description specifically lists the terrain type.
Savages take their terrain mastery with them wherever they go. They retain their terrain mastery bonuses on skill checks, attack rolls, and damage rolls whether they’re actually in the relevant terrain or not.
Terrain Mastery Benefits
Desert
You resist effects that tire you. You are immune to fatigue, and anything that would cause you to become exhausted makes you fatigued instead. You gain a +1 insight bonus on attack and damage rolls against desert creatures.
Forest
You have a +4 competence bonus on Hide checks. You gain a +1 insight bonus on attack and damage rolls against forest creatures.
Hills
You gain a +4 competence bonus on Listen checks. You gain a +1 insight bonus on attack and damage rolls against hills creatures.
Marsh
You have a +4 competence bonus on Move Silently checks. You gain a +1 insight bonus on attack and damage rolls against marsh creatures.
Mountains
You gain a +4 competence bonus on Climb checks or a +10-foot bonus to your climb speed if you have one. You gain a +1 insight bonus on attack and damage rolls against mountain creatures.
Plains
You have a +4 competence bonus on Spot checks. You gain a +1 insight bonus on attack and damage rolls against plains creatures.
Wildshape
At 2nd level and every ven number after that, a Savage the number of times he can wildshape into an animal increases by one.
Trackless Step
At 2nd level, a Savage leaves no trail in natural surroundings and cannot be tracked. He may choose to leave a trail if so desired.
Improve Wildshape(Magical Beasts)
At 3rd level, a Savage gains the ability to take the shape of Medium Magical Beast.
Venom Immunity
At 4th level, a Savage gains immunity to all poisons.
Damage Resistance
At 5th level, a Savage gains Damage Resistance equal to 5/-, this bonus stacks with any Damage Reduction given by the wildshape it is in.
Improve Wildshape(Large)
At 6th level, a Savage gains the ability to take the shape of a Large animal or Magical Beast.
Reckless Rage
At 7th level, a Savage gains the Reckless Rage feat even if he doesn’t meet the prerequisites.
Extraordinary Wildshape
At 8th level, a Savage gains the extraordinary special qualities of any form he assumes with wildshape.
Improve Wildshape(Huge)
At 9th level, a Savage gains the ability to take the shape of a Huge animal or Magical Beast.
Improved Natural Armor
At 10th level, a Savage gains Natural Armor Bonus equal to +4, this bonus stacks with any Natural Armor given by the wildshape it is in.

This is a great class for the wildshaping ranger variant in the SRD.

The problem is that it's perfectly balanced with whats out there because it's from class thats already been published, though not in this way. Great class, but it's all been done.
