Hopefully somebody has at least started some Gemmel stuff.....if not, I'm gonna need alot help with this.

For anyone depraved of Gemmel, The Thirty is a group of warrior priests who worship The Source. They train extensively for years in divine magic and warfare, then select a war to die in opposing evil (a little morbid......). They are the utmost source of divine magic amongst the Drenai, and are fearsome warriors.

It would be based on a cleric/paladin mix, but their magic sytem is a bit abstract. They can basically duplicate the effect of any D&D spell; by this I mean they have varried talents, even among themselves, from healing to nature to seeing past present and future.

Maybe extended spontaneos casting astral projection, cure wounds, magic circle against evil/chaos,rary's telepathic bond...........but now comes the bigger problem;this and decent combat abilities make it seem overpowered and abysmally complicated to me.

please help me

Considering that the 30 were the best of the best of human's they should also have the paragon template added to them, I think they might just be over powered even without the template lol.

Much of the magic used by the Thirty seens a little closer to psionics than divine magic, regardless of the source. (Pun intended.)

Magic in the Drenai books doesn't seem to work like the magic in D&D. You could try to copy the Thirty identically from the books (in which case unless your campaign world is very different from the D&D standard, they will be very much out of place.) Or you could perhaps mix Paladins/Psychic warriors around with a new religion and organisation.

The idea of the group of warrior-mystics who spend their lives in training and contemplation of their deaths fighting a great evil is an really interesting one. I think the concept will copy over far better than trying to mechanically copy their stats however.
