But what about the sprinting tumble then?

Complete Adventurer says:
You can try to tumble past or through an opponent's space while running by accepting a -20 penalty on your tumble check.

Shouldn't that penalty be reduced too for the thief acrobat?
I mean if she is focusing on climbing, balancing and finally tumbling faster than everybody else why does she have the same penalty like everyone else when tumbling while in a sprint?
And i also have the Run feat which gives her better maneuvarability (IMO cause she retains her dex to AC) while running..
I think that my DM should somehow reduce this penalty in that case?
Any suggestions? Thanks a lot..

03-13-07, 06:32 PM noone here can tell you anything, its a normal case of the newer n\books not taking older ones into account.

basically it boils down to up to your dm. but yes if you can tumble and full move without taking a -10 you have a good cause to ask him/her

03-13-07, 06:59 PM Yeah, reasonably you can assume it removes up to 10 points of any penalty associated with accelerated tumbling (as well as up to 5 to acclerated balance and climb IIRC)...but if you are a stickler on the rules, RAW would indicate you get no such reduction.

Yeah but that is the problem its all in the same book.. the PRC and the sprinting tumble description.. in the Complete Adventurer.
Anyway we made a deal, he said i can use the same penalty reduction as for the tumbling with full speed.. that is i can sprint and tumble with -10 only.. as jadehawk said.
