Lets have a poll on what you think are the top 5(or more if you feel adventurous lol) Dwarven PrCs.

1. Dwarven Defender
2. Dwarven Paragon (UA) (Can also be used as a base class)
3. Ollam (BoED or maybe CD)
4. Warpriest
5. Frenzied Berserker
6. Champion of Gwynharwef (BoED)
7. Fist of Raziel (BoED)
8. Divine Champion (CD)
9. Divine Crusader (CD)
10. Blackguard

Only the top 3 are dwarf-specific but the other 7 would complement a dwarf's abilities nicely.

Presuming you mean "dwarven" is a pre-req for the prestige class...

1: Deepwarden (Con to AC instead of Dex??? Sign me up!)
2: Battlesmith
3: Runesmith
4: Dwarven Defender
5: Dwarven Paragon

Yeah looking for Dwarven Only PrCs, are there really that few, hell I can't even name that many, lets see:

1: Deepwarden (only #1 answer...)
2: Dwarven Paragon
3: Dwarven Defender
4: Battlerager
5: Goldenrift Rider (not the right name, but i cant remember the correct one, or what books its in)
6: Battlesmith

Those are all the ones i can name, yet i can name about 10+ for elves, and even 4-5 just for drow elves alone, gah dwarves need more love lol.

If we're going to go into third-party material, Stormhammer and Knight of the Black Forge from Hammer & Helm get my vote.

1. Dwarven Defender
>_< Dwarven Defenders are in actually very ineffective unless you spend all your time underground, in dungeons, or other tight and confined spaces where mobility isn't important. On an open battlefield, they're practically useless, since enemies are free to move around them.

If you really want a classic tank, Hammers of Moradin are more or less completely superior to Dwarven Defenders, since they can move freely.

yeah i really like the HoM but i hate having to take a spellcasting class to get into a melee only class... doesnt make any sense. if you take off the stipulation of lvl 3 (or whatever) divine spellcasting, then i would say HoM gets #2 best dwarven PrC

I'm a bit sceptical about the deepwarden - the con to AC is great, but are its subsequent abilities that good? Here are some of my favourites, in no particular order.

- Sacred Templar
- Earthlord
- Great Rift Defender
- Battlerager
- Runesmith

I think the lvl 5 ability (the mind one) is something that any tanker could use, the ability to reroll your missed save is a great one, and i think it does some other stuff, also give you uncanny dodge and Imp UD which are nice, but in all reality, its a 2 lvl dip class for the awesomeness of Con to AC

1- Runesmith (turns a dwarven wizard into a mobile nuclear weapon)
2-Hammer of Moradin
3-Ironsoul Forger (abuse any item you craft)
4-Dwarven Defender
5-Battlerager

If you want the BEST prestige classes for dwarven characters that don't have dwarf as an entry requirement then
1-Runesmith
2-Kensai
3-Champion of Gnynarwhyf
4-Warmind
5-Fist of Raziel

Just take paladin levels. Problem solved. You only need to cast level 2 divine spells, and 8 levels of paladin (or 5 of paladin and 3 of Pious Templar) will get you there.

actually a knight/dwarf defender, possibly enlarged or with monkey grip, weilding a spiked chain is a scary thing indeed.

Hmm well, basically my character concept is the iconic dwarf fighter wielding a Dwarven Waraxe, i have already played a thrower once so im kinda wanting to stay away from that, and i cant really think of any other cool dwarf fighter classes other than DD, what book is Kensai in? Isnt that a TWF prc?

Kensai is CWarrior, and it focuses on enhancing one weapon. I don't think it words with two, but it could work with a double weapon.

4 Level Cleric for Dwarven Cleric sub-Level(RoS), 4 Level Fighter for Spec or less + Battlesmith for + AC and + Wis to Damge + HOM is pure awesome ...

to OP:

-Hammer of Moradin
-Deepstone Sentinel
-Deepwarden
-Runesmith
-Battlesmith
-Runecaster
-Exotic Weapon Master
