| Zousha_Omenohu07-26-07, 09:19 PM | I've been thinking of allowing the Weapon Master prestige class from Sword and Fist to be included in my next campaign. I'm not to sure if it'll work though, since it wasn't included in Complete Warrior. I was wondering why this was and I would also appreciate reccomendations of any tweaks I should make to the PrC to update it to 3.5 before I use it. Thank you all very much.:) |

What you might consider from a DM point of view is Ki Critical. As it does stack with Improved Critical if you arleady have the feat by adding an additional +2 to the threat range. While not as potent as it was in 3.0 since Improved Critical and Keen no longer stack, its still worth consideration. I would let it fly as is in my game, but thats just me. |

| Zousha_Omenohu07-27-07, 11:29 AM | I've always thought it looked pretty good, even with the stringent requirements. From what I've seen of it, most people only take it for Ki Critical anyway. I guess I'll go through with it, but first another question, if it's pretty much okay as is, why was it never converted to Complete Warrior? It seems like a pretty solid prestige class and a popular character concept, yet the only time it surfaced in 3.5 wasn't even in a sourcebook (it was one of the available prestige classes in Neverwinter Nights 2, which uses 3.5 rules instead of 3.0 rules like its predecessor). Thanks again for your advice. |

The class has no mechanics that are changed or obsolete in 3.5 so it really needs no "update" so it has not been reprinted. 2. The class does not fit in to the "Scope" of what WotC wants in 3.5 so it was not updated. 3. The class was updated into the "Exotic Weapon Master" in Complete Warrior. (According to a page somewhere on wizards web site). Unofficial as it is, my opinion goes as such, 1 seems most likely, I could accept 2 even if I dont agree, and think that 3 is just plain wrong (even if wizards says so) |

WotC did upate the psychic weapon master some time ago on their website (can't find the link at the moment). The PWM gets Ki Critical too and the 3.5 update allowed it to stack with Keen and/or improved critical but first another question, if it's pretty much okay as is, why was it never converted to Complete Warrior? It seems like a pretty solid prestige class and a popular charact I asked myself the same question. IMO it's much better (mechanical and flavor-wise) than the Kensai class that made into CW |
| Zousha_Omenohu07-30-07, 12:09 PM | To me the Kensai seems like they converted the OA Samurai to a prestige class, and I'm pretty sure that's exactly the case. |
