| fatmonkey09-06-07, 11:13 PM | multiclassing into one of the classes that grants a domain (many are in the same book as ur priest) |

So far the character build is going very nicely....:D Hellbred warlock/binder.....then into Ur Priest for a couple of levels, then into Eldritch Disciple. It was my understanding that a Ur Priest CAN'T multiclass in a normal divine class (or allready have divine magic). So the only way I can think of for one to gain a domain would be if there is a feat that grants a domain, and that he can meet the other requirements of. |

Any preexisting divine spellcasting is lost (and maybe any gained later from a different class). But an Ur-Priest can still advance their own divine casting using a divine casting PrC. So classes like Contemplative, Divine Oracle, Seeker of Misty Isle or Warpriest would all give you a domain if you qualify for them (Church Inquisitor you probably can't qualify for, but would also give you a domain). Contemplative gives any domain of your choice, but you need to meet an outsider representative of your religion, which some see as antithetical tot he Ur-Priest. But a suitable character background could work it out, probably. Maybe your GM would allow a nasty confrontation with a deity to qualify you. |

I wonder if an "outsider" forced would still qualify, as he tends to "force" outsiders to do his bidding, just like he "steals" powers from the gods? He also has a few levles of Binder, are vestiges considered "Outsiders" ? |
| nighttree09-08-07, 11:28 AM | Contemplative just might work......Thanks Mr Teapot. |
| Khatoblepas09-08-07, 02:20 PM | I'd say binding and conversing with Karsus would work - he's the definitive "tries to steal power from the gods", like he did with 2nd edition to change the way spells are done. If anyone's a representative of what Ur-Priests stand for it's him. |
