Vermin Lord [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-17-07, 11:47 PM The BoVD has the vermin lord, but it is 3.0. Is there a 3.5 conversion for this class in any of the books or on the boards? If not are there any other 3.5 vermin prestige classes. I know there is one in DofUD.

The vermin servant really seemed to me the thing that needs to be tweaked, but I was worried some of the other abilities (based on spells) may need to change.

12-18-07, 02:46 PM Your biggest concern is the rules on Hivemind.

Basically, with a big enough swarm, the vermin lord gets access to god-like powers. Other than that, it isn't too bad if I recall correctly.

12-19-07, 01:54 PM There is the Vermin Keeper from one of the Underdark books.

You might also want to take a look at the Child of Winter, Vermin Companion, and Vermin Shape Druid feats from Eberron.

12-21-07, 10:50 PM Thanks. I'm going to use whatever a wind up with as an NPC, but I will keep the hivemind problem in mind in case a player likes it, which they probably will knowing them.

I will check out those feats; one of my player's has Ebberon. I have feats like that and a prestige class, but they are Drow only stuff from Drow of the Underdark.
