| Captain_Kobold06-17-07, 05:50 PM | I'm playing a druid who tends to focus on the more basic forms of natural life. He has the Child of Winter Feat from the Eberron setting as part of this, but I was wondering what options there were for prestige classes. I've heard of something like the "Vermin Lord" PrC from either the BoVd or one of the Underdark books. Can anyone narrow it down a bit for me and give an idea of what the class is about please? Are any other classes with a similar focus that people could suggest? Thanks, Cap'n Kobold. |

| lord_xarallon06-18-07, 04:54 PM | The Root Walker alternate class feature from dungeonscape could add more flavor (if it is not too late for this). |
| Captain_Kobold06-18-07, 06:55 PM | Nope, still got a couple of weeks until the next game.:) What does the Root walker ability entail? From the name, it sounds more like a plant based ability than an insect based one. I may have gotten confused between the Vermin Lord and Vermin Keeper classes. Apart from the names, I don't know much about them though. |
| lord_xarallon06-19-07, 07:45 AM | I don't know how much I can post about it without violating CoC. But have a look into the book next time you are in your bookstore. It is so simple I would bet money on that you can remember it. |
| The_Shaman06-19-07, 07:50 AM | Does Root Walker have any relation to the 3.0 Verdant Lord from MotW? Anyway, while it is far from optimized, the SS Lord of the Flies (iirc) PrC can work with anything with wildshape, alternate shape, etc. Master of many forms can also be used to "devolve" to vermin. Neither of them boosts spellcasting, though. Also, I think BoVD had a class for swarmmasters, but I'm not sure what it was called. |
| Prince_of_Parkness06-19-07, 03:48 PM | Theres also vermin lord from book of vile darkness: It grants you extra natural armour, virmin like attacks (blood drain, poison), vermin spell like abilities (spider hand, spider legs), summon manipulate and control vermin and other special features |
