| Nightshade10-31-07, 08:39 PM | It's a darn good class for Power Attacking / Charging fighters. Forget about clerical healing, though. So, you'd better have an artificer handy or tons of Oil of Repairs. The Shock Trooper and Leap Attack feats from Complete Warrior complement it well, as does the Warforged Brute Fighting feat from RoE. |
| Templario10-31-07, 08:56 PM | Tkae Overload Metabolism (Player's Guide to Eberron) and have many ranks at Craft (armorsmith, if you DM requires specialization)), then you can heal yourself a bit while the oils are gone. They benefit greatly from the Dungeonscape variant for Fighters called "Dungeoncrasher". |
| RobbyPants11-01-07, 01:57 PM | I love the PrC. I'm running a warforged fighter/archivist gestalt in a game right now. Once I hit 7th level, I'm going to take the WFJ PrC. I'm waiting one extra level to get two more feats at 6th level (one extra for the even numbered fighter level). I wanted to take Combat Brute and Shock Trooper at the same time. This PrC is pretty nice. The immunities are awesome, and the penalties are easily worked around. Tkae Overload Metabolism (Player's Guide to Eberron) and have many ranks at Craft (armorsmith, if you DM requires specialization)), then you can heal yourself a bit while the oils are gone. What's overload metabolism do? Does it speed up the Craft checks? If not, it takes 8 hours to repair yourself for just a few HP of damage. |
| PhaedrusXY11-01-07, 02:46 PM | I play a Warforged Psion (Shaper) in a game. There is also a Warforged Fighter. I'm trying to get him to go into this PrC. Shapers can also heal constructs (quite efficiently). |
| imakuni6711-01-07, 05:12 PM | Also, Warforged make super barbarians since they don't get fatigued after raging! ;) |

Yeah, the craft thing is bad, but it's better than nothing :P O.M. lets you do a burst inside yourself, healing 5+HD, but taking a -2 on STR and DEX for 10 minutes. It's usable 1/day |

Also, my character is going to be the leader of the orc cavalry. Since this guy is going to be my bodyguard/lockpick, he is going to need to keep up with me and my mount. I was thinking of having a sort of 4-legged contraption that he could "lock" into during open battles that would increase his speed and effectively be his legs, and then detach so he could have head room in dungeons and whatnot. Now I think I could just requisition this thing to be made without cost to me due to my rank, but just in case, how much do you guys think something like this would cost? |

If you haven't seen something like this yet, you are a visionnaire. In Eberron there's a warforged component called Tauric Belt that does exactly what you said. Well, it changes the lower body part of the warforged to a leonine four-legged lower body. Unfortunately, it's an artifact component, so it's pretty much an artifact; no cost associated, up to the DM if a player can have it. Now you could probably agree with your DM to make a lesser version, but along the guidelines provided in Eberron this is a pretty powerful object. Sorry, I don't think that helps much with your question, but I'd say 'priceless'. |

If all it does is increase your movement rate, it should be cheaper than a stone horse (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#stoneHorse), since they can also fight. |

Less work for me:D The thing is, we have a small tribe of goblins that are tinkerers whose soldiers pilot battlemechs (original I know), and I'm also going to have a goblin under my personal command whose sole purpose is to repair my robot, so I think I could just have one made for the benefit of myself and by extension, our army. The horde is going to win for once! |

Oh no no, it gives you like +4 str, +2 con, carry weight like a 4 legged creature, 2 'natural' claw attack, increase movement speed, increased space, possibly more; you pretty much become a wemic. It's a pretty good object. |
