What are Some Knight's Prestige Class???? [Archive] - Wizards Community

i would fight 10,000 Great Wyrm Colossal Red Dragons:invasion: and 10,000 Colossal Giant Wyrm Gold Dragons:invasion: for the answer to my questions

09-19-07, 12:40 PM Normally PrCs tend to be quite specialized, so I think it'd be best if you told us what abilities and role you want to preserve/get/do with that PrC. I can tell you that the Pious Templar, Cavalier, and others can be quite good, but they may simply take you in a direction you don't want.

09-19-07, 01:03 PM If you want to improve your Knight Power and multiclass, there's a very good class that's also not a PrC - the Crusader. :)

Not replaces, augments. The Knight does have a brilliant move that the Crusader doesn't - Knight's Challenge. Crusaders don't have ranged threat control, so a splash or two of Knight gets you that. The Knight is the Living Tank, so getting Crusader manuevers gets you loaaads more versatility. Because, you know, it makes being the meatshield fun.

I don't see how ToB being the best for melee options is a bad thing.

For multiclassing, sure. I do get a little tired if people start writing that basically, ToB is the only melee option worth your time, and it has happened - though, thankfully, not so often. It's not a bad book, far from it, but it's imo not a good thing if it completely overshadows older and thematically nice concepts.
