What happened to the thread, "How to format PRCs for the boards"? The link in the sticky is dead, and even if I could find it in the archive, all of the formating tags would be taken off. Anyone have a copy of the PRC format, or a link to it?

I second that request.

Here's the link I have, though I don't follow the indicated style exactly, having developed something myself after looking at various rule books' formatting.

New format proposal:

- one
- two
- three

Benefits:
HD: d20
BAB: (poor, average, full)
Good Save(s): (Fort, Reflex, Will)
Skills: X + Int -- List, All, Class, Skills.
(Weapon & armor proficiencies, if any.)

...
5 or 10 or whatever/ Capstone Droolmaster

Drool (Su): At first level, you get drooly things.
At third level, your drooly things improve to be droolier.
Evasion (Ex): As the Rogue special ability.
...
Capstone Droolmaster: You gain +2 Charisma as though by level advancement.

Basically, all the information as the other format, but less redundancy -- so there's less to mess up. (Seriously, does every class need to list the BAB and base save progression? It's easy to mess up, and they add very little.)

I prefer to use templates based largely on the rulebooks' formatting, if only for consistency. The rulebooks' own templates have evolved with time (with the later ones probably being better at least in some ways), so there is room for adjustment; you can put together what works best for your class.

I prefer mimicking the rulebooks' formatting, but Nifft makes a good point regarding BAB and save redundancy.
