Pre-requisites that state you need to be able to cast a certain spell means that the spell has to be available on the spell list of one of your character's classes. Merely being able to replicate it with another spell effect is not enough. Remember, when you replicate a spell with a Limited Wish, you are still technically casting Limited Wish and not the new spell in question. In the case of the Thaumaturgist, I think it also means that you need to be high enough level to actually cast the spell too. |
| The_Shaman05-25-07, 05:40 PM | The Arcane Disciple feat (CDivine) might allow you to cast the spell. Aside from that, the Hathran PrC adds it to your spell list... But both are rather specific. There might be other feats or PrCs that can help, but by RaW, wizards can't be thaumaturges. Strange, I know; I would probably ask the DM to allow it. |
