| Andramadus07-12-07, 08:22 AM | I was playing Diablo 2 and was wondering how I could do the Paladins Zeal power for my charcter, considering you can always research new powers, how would you do this power? But why stop there this thread could go on and on creating your own version of Diablo 2 powers. I have to ask that you be inventive, create your own version of the power and post, not just point out an already existing power you think would work. Let the posts begin. |

| Gemstone07-12-07, 08:39 AM | I would probably make zeal so that it grants the player extra attacks, altough at a penalty, such as: 3rd level power to begin with 1 extra attack for each 2 pp spent or something, but at a -2 penalty on all attacks you make that round. Thus, for 9 pp, you could make 3 extra attacks at a total of -6 penalty to each attack (that makes for what? 6th level, -3/-3/-3/-3, I think... unless your paladin, at which point it becomes: +0/+0/+0/+0. Increases the chance for critical hit, but decreases the chance of delivering a hit. |

| Tempest Stormwind07-12-07, 10:46 AM | Diablo 2 moves in D&D? I don't know, like most of the combat moves you'd find on the Paladin, Barbarian, Amazon and Assassin being found in the Tome of Battle (Zeal = Adamantine Hurricane), and several of the spells showing up in magic splatbooks (esp. Complete Scoundrel)? Really, the only psionic powers in Diablo were the Assassin's Psychic Hammer and Mind Blast. The Assassin was the only one to have psi-flavor as well (hint: she's a lurk). The only thing that the Diablo moves have in common with psionics would be that they both used a point-based system to track their use. The same holds true between psionics and nearly every video-game magic source. |

Well, it's been a year or so since I've played a lot of D2, but this (http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o234/Distracted_photo/monkey_steals_peach.jpg) should work for Zeal. Or anything else if you're not going by the official Diablo II d20 book. Da |
| BloodSpill07-12-07, 03:56 PM | I'm pretty sure there aren't 1001 skills in Diablo II. |
| Fafnir07-12-07, 05:13 PM | I'm pretty sure there aren't 1001 skills in Diablo II. There should be around 210. :D |

Increases the chance for critical hit, but decreases the chance of delivering a hit. On a side note... the reason that I applied such a large penalty, is the fact that a large penalty makes it possible for the power to be cast as a swift action, thus, allowing you to take a full round worth of attacks :) |
| CrimsonDeath07-12-07, 08:27 PM | Please be inventive And post your own hombrew conversions of the powers, not from the D20 book. Thanks Why don't you be creative and post your version? (Seriously, I'm not trying to be rude. Is there a specific reason that you want to use someone else's idea instead of your own?) |
| Andramadus07-12-07, 10:20 PM | Prayer Level: Psion/wilder 2, psychic warrior 2 Display: Mental and visual Manifesting Time: 1 standard action Range: Sight Target: 10ft radius + 5ft per level Duration: 10 min./level Saving Throw: none Power Resistance: no Power Points: 3 By invoking this power you glow with a misty blue healing light that invelops you and your companions. You & your companions gain Fast healing 3 for the duration of the power. Augment: For every power point you use for this power you gain + 1 for the sacred healing. |
| RadicalTaoist07-12-07, 10:27 PM | I have to ask that you be inventive, create your own version of the power and post, not just point out an already existing power you think would work. Let the posts begin. AHEM. I have to take issue with the notion that finding a way to translate what exists already for the use of adaptation is not creative. |

You & your companions gain Fast healing 3 for the duration of the power. Augment: For every power point you use for this power you gain + 1 for the sacred healing. Two things. First, I think that would be Range: Personal and Area: 10' + 5'/level radius emanation. Second, Fast Healing 3 for 10 minutes for everyone in an area seems a little strong for a level 2 power, since True Metabolism, a level 8 power, has a target of "You" and grants fast healing 10 for only 1 minute/level. |
| ShinoAburame07-14-07, 02:42 AM | I could see all the psionic classes taking on a specific D2 role.. Druid: Probably the wilder, with some wilder only powers involving shapeshifting into animal forms and special summoning powers. Paladin: Probably the psychic-warrior with some powers granting buffs to everyone thus replacing auras. Sorceress: Psion. And this time not just so heavily kineticist! Assassin: A psychic monk, probably taking the monk class and giving them a psionic power every even level. Barbarian: A psychic barbarian, as monk, taking a very limited amount of powers. Necromancer: Psychic Rogue, not taking much else besides new speicific powers to choose from and the assassin ability to use poison without risk of harming one's self. Amazon: Soulknife with more combat related abilities, possibly giving the soulknife a chose of taking a mindblade or mindbow progression as a ranger. |
| Gemstone07-14-07, 04:44 PM | If I recall correctly, Fanatism is an aura that lets you make attacks faster. It's similiar to zeal, but it has an increased attack chance and affects your party members... therefore... Fanatiscm (6th level power) Level: 6 Display: Auditory and Visual Manifesting Time: 1 standard action Range: None Effect: 20 ft. emanation, centered on you Duration: 1 round per Manifester Level Saving Throw: Will (harmless) Power Resistance: Yes (harmless) Power Points: 11 You create an aura around you that let's your allies attack faster and with more deadly result. Each ally gain one additional attack at their highest base attack bonus -2. The threat range of the given weapon also increases by +1. Thus a weapon threatening on 20, would threat on 19-20 instead. Augument: By spending an additional 5 points, you gain 1 additional attack at the same attack bonus as the first. You can do this any number of times. Okay, probably WAAAAY overpowered or underpowered, but hey, It's my first serious psi-power |
