heavenisme 11-25-07, 02:54 AM	I am a big fan of reading D&D stories but rarley see any psionic adventures. I have been checking the other forums and found about one adventure with a psion... Sooo lets tale tales of psionic adventure, recount your exploits, and let the bards sing them throught the ages...

Dragon falls 150ft (breaking EC) Psion's second turn : EC on the dragon. Again, failed save. Everyone lines up for a Coup de grace. No one was expecting that particular trick (which nearly resulted in EC getting banned)

No one was expecting that particular trick (which nearly resulted in EC getting banned) It shouldn't have worked. Nothing can touch the dragon while he's stuck inside the ecto cocoon. If you cut through the ecto cocoon to get to the dragon inside, then the dragon would be free and fighting back. In either case, there's no way to deliver a coup de grace to the dragon. edit: I have a story involving a small medium at large, a giant eagle going through an awkward puberty, and a wizard with a thing for feathers. It's just going to take a little while to type it out.

The other 3 people readying a cdg, made it a bit harder for it after the 15d6 fall dmg.

The other 3 people readying a cdg, made it a bit harder for it after the 15d6 fall dmg. 1) you can't ready a CDG 2) once you can target it for the CDG, it would be free anyways and no longer possible to CDG it.

So far your the only one with any semblance of a story.... Don't be shy kids get out your pipe weed and tell some psionic tales!

Seeker of Lore 11-26-07, 04:42 PM	I think I have a decent one: I was playing a Wilder/Thrallherd with a Healer for my thrall, the rest of my party was 2 sorcerors and a bard (hey, we manage). Anyway, at one point in our adventures we beating up on a guy when he took the Healer hostage to try and escape. As the DM asked what we were going to do, the casters delayed their actions. He then asked me, and the first part was telling the Healer though the Mindlink I set up earlier not to resist what I was going to manifest next... then proceeded to manifest Time Hop on her. You can guess what happened next :evillaugh. I had a similar situation later on with a person about to be sacrificed... I managed to get initiative ahead of the celebrant and move into range to prevent the sacrifice with Time Hop. Not only did that allow us to fight a lot better (since we didn't have to worry about the victim), but we didn't need to unchain him later :D.
Mesiolan 11-27-07, 09:22 AM	We fought in the war of RHoD as well. A GREAT campaign. A quote from our paladin: "I coup de grace as a free action". How? After the psion hit the hobgoblins with an energy cone, they were down to 2-8 HP each. So the tank cleaved 2-4 targets each round. And since they seemed unable to hit him (AC 27), he considered them "helpless". The dragon in question was ego whipped (took three augmented hits) into a whimpering heap of scales. Our Rog/Ran has favored enemy: dragons. Kills first, let the priest ask questions later. Has anyone seen a hill giant or ettin with ranks of balance? Me neither, psionic grease, please. And again. And again. It's cheap, you know. The horde is one of the few places to put the energy burst power to good use. Fly potion, invisibility to get above the rank&file hobos, energy blast, about 150 dead hobos. Dimension door out before you sprout arrows. Be prepared to take some heat from the bosses, though, so you need some protection in advance. Energy missile is a boon against the many worg-riders - you kill the worg and the goblin (who made the ref-save) takes falling damage + prone. And one energy missile targets two riders + two wolves. Yummy.
deviknyte 11-27-07, 09:56 AM	2) The party and I are raiding this tower when we spot what we think is an illithid. It turns to us and has no eyes! It can see preceive us somehow but we kill it. Then two more walk in the room. We kill them but we notice they are blasting a lot of power points at us. LONG story and two dead party members later. Hive mind! Power points and partial hit points. We regrouped and succeeded in the mission but only killed like 10 of them.
