Ok maybe I have just not read it all well enough but I have a question about the Soulknife and Soulbow.

I realize they suffer from the DR of the target, but is there any way to enhance the weapons to overcome different DR's ?

Also how do the weapons knife/arrow interact with Incorporeal Creatures ?

Nope. Unless one of their Mind Blade/Arrow Enhancements happens to penetrate DR. You'll find this in some third-party supplements, but not in official WotC material.

Note that soulknives are considered weak, like MiniHB-Healer / CW-Samurai weak. They have this reputation for a reason.

The rules say they are treated exactly as a normal weapon except as follows, but they never say anything special about incorporeality. Thus, treat it just like a normal weapon with identical characteristics: unless you use Ghost Touch (or the Ghost Attack psionic feat), you suffer the miss chance and damage restrictions.

There are items that allow your Mind Blade to overcome certain types of DR-- the Adamantine Mind Blade Gauntlet from the Magic Item Compendium, for example.

Note that the Mind Blade is treated as a magic weapon beginning at level 1. That means you'll always have at least a 50% chance to affect incorporeal creatures.

There's a range of feats for soulknife/soulbows in Dragon issue 341. there are feats to make your mind weapon adamantine/silver, and bear alignment qualities for overcoming reduction.
Not to mention there are two feats in that list that can let you change the enhancement quality of your mind weapon from 8 hours of meditation to 10 minutes, then to 1 full round. Also I think feats to make a mind shield.

The Mind Blade is only treated as a magic weapon for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction. Ergo, its still an ordinary weapon for dealing with incorporeality.

The Kalashtar Racial Substitution level at 3rd allows you to make your mind blade good-aligned for 3pp/round, while Align Weapon lets you give it either of your alignments by expending focus. Alternatively, invest in backup weapons, or talk to your DM about an extended list of mind blade special abilities, including the basic aligned abilities. It really won't overpower the class.

actually, I'm making a mindblade for a campaign. His 'backup' starting weapons are a cold iron dagger, a silver mw heavy mace, and I think I have him with a few more daggers. Point blank shot, psionic shot (daggers for throwing, not melee). Starting at level 3. By level 5 or so he'll probably be toting around 10 cold iron daggers, 10 silver daggers, and an adamant heavy mace.

At higher levels it will probably change out to having a heavy adamant mace, and a cold iron light mace, and a silver light mace.

As for ghost touch? if your fighting undead alot, go for the illumine blade class. undead bane, ghost touch, lots of abilities for dealing with undead in the class...and the power to make them fall by the trove once you hit around level 10. mmmm, expend focus to deal 10d6 damage in a 30ft radius around illumine blade.

Silver Sheen will temporary make a weapon overcome damage reduction: silver.
