EDIT: Now void. 1 diety system. (Don't feel like running a cult)

Planning out my next character, and I've decided Thrallherd (like 70% done).

He's a human shaper/thrallherd to be specific. (Yes, took EK Mindlink)

However what I'm having trouble deciding on is the diety that he worships. Sardior is what I originally thought of, but I'm not so sure about using him. Sardior doesn't seem like a very pro-active diety. And the only other idea I'm getting is to himself as a diety. (Maybe ego-manical is the way to go...)

And I'm going to run him as a recruiter, the thrall will be meathshield (low physical scores) and the believers will run a temple (for the most part).

So to sum it up I know what I'm doing, but can't decide on a good diety. Suggestions?

Make one up. Some of the most dangerous cults are the ones where the dogma is open to interpretation and alteration by the cult's leader. The Branch Davidians, the Manson Family, Scientology, and Heaven's Gate are examples of this. (For a good laugh, Google the video of Charles Manson's most recent parole hearing.)

On the other hand, perhaps your character's cult is bent on doing actual good in the world. In that case, you could be affiliated with a more legitimate church, like the church of Pelor or Hieroneous.

It really depends on what you're going for. In the end, your character doesn't have any divine power and it's likely his followers don't, either, so you could have a cult worshipping the Great Googly-Moogly if you want.

What world is he on? (I don't know where Sardior comes from.)

Sardior was created and fleshed out in various Mind's Eye articles as a neutral deity who promotes the study of psionic lore. He's essentially a psionics-focused version of Boccob.

Sorry guys, just talked to my DM (I didn't really have much world info.)

There's only 1 diety, a sun diety. The world is one where Magic-users are persecuted. But if I'm subtle in my use of magic/psionics, there's a low probability of being caught and killed.

And my thrall is a monk/cleric/sacred fist..... so I got plenty to hide. (Better than the True Necromancer....)

Make him a cultist that is following some imaginary-but-good-aligned spiritual force. Maybe he worships his ancestors. If you give him a few Incarnum feats, this would tie in nicely with his personality and goals.

What alignment were you wanting to go with?

[edit] Actually, if you allow the Soul Caster PrC to be used with a psionic class, you can take it without losing more than one manifester level. Feats, feats, feats, baby.

Sardior was created in the AD&D 2nd edition days if I rememeber well, to be geeky.
