So I’m curious,
Is a banana Split better with Chocolate ice cream and nuts, or vanilla with whipped cream?

On a related note, is it really a split without a cherry?

Testing may be required.

Chocolate icecream and nuts, no cherry. Vanilla is disgusting, and so are cherries.

I think my favorite dish was you bake some fresh brownies, while they're baking you take the hand churner for ice cream, and make vanilla ice cream, however you take one of those little bottles of maraschino cherries, cut out some of the sugar for the ice cream, decant the syrup into the mix, and churn the ice cream while you wait for the brownies to finish, Once finished Cut the brownies into squares, and place single scoops of fresh ice cream on top of the squares with the cherries on top of the ice cream.

That was a delicious dessert to follow a great dinner

I like mine with the Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavor CocoNutty, nuts AND whipped cream. Can't forget the hot fudge sauce either! And it better have a cherry. http://smilies.vidahost.com/otn/happy/icecream.gifhttp://smilies.vidahost.com/ups/supersaiyan2mvegeta/sick.gif

Dude, how can you complain about cherries when the banana already ruined the perfectly good ice cream? Seriously, guys, banana splits are a bad, bad way to go. Sundaes are much better. :nonono:

So can we optimize this ice cream? I suggest chocolate syrup+ice cream+nuts and perhaps a cherry but I want to keep full caster level on the ice cream? I'm thinking Ice cream 5/chocolate syrup 2/nuts 2/cherry 1. I took a 1 level dip in cherry to get access to the cherry on top ability. The chocolate syrup and nuts are just icing on the cake so to speak. What progressions should I go for after 10?

This is a high level chocolate cake power, from the Dessert Compendium:

Earthquake Cake
Delicious Dessert 9 (Creation)
Displays: Olfactory, Auditory ("Yummy!"), Tasty
Manifesting Time: See text
Range: It goes in the oven, not on the range-top
Effect: A decadent dessert
Duration: Likely less time than it took to bake it
Saving Throw: Will partial (see text)
Power Resistance: None; resistance is futile
Power Points: 17

This power creates a totally delicious chocolate cake (similar in structure to an upside-down cake). It doesn't need frosting.

Ingredients:
1 box of chocolate cake mix (German chocolate is preferred), with everything noted in the baking directions
1/2 cup of lowfat milk
1 stick of real butter
1 block of cream cheese or neufchatel cheese
1.5 cups of powdered sugar
1 cup of chopped pecans
1 cup of shredded coconut

Mix the cake mix according to directions on the box (or make your own, as you like; substitute 1.5 cups of Miracle Whip/mayonnaise for the eggs and oil to make it extra moist). Stir in the lowfat milk to make the cake mix extra thin. Spread the pecans and coconut evenly on a 1-2" deep greased cookie sheet/cake pan, and spread the cake batter over the top of it.

Pre-heat (or just heat, since you can't actually pre-heat) the oven to the temperature noted on the cake mix.

In a separate bowl, melt the butter and soften the cream cheese in a microwave or over low heat; once it is melted and soft, stir in the powdered sugar and try to blend it until there are no lumps.

Drizzle (or Drizzt, as you prefer) the butter-mix unevenly over the top of the cake batter, then bake as noted on the baking directions. Make sure to keep a close eye on it, as it may bake faster than the directions indicate.

Take out of the oven, fail your Will save, and eat the whole thing (preferably with cinnamon/vanilla ice cream). If you make your Will save, you still must eat a piece, but you don't have to eat the whole thing.
