siegfried1 06-02-07, 06:41 AM	Hi, in the general description of the astral construct it says "Unless using the ability is a free action, an astral construct manifesting such a power does so as a standard action that provokes attacks of opportunity. All such powers have a manifester level equal to the astral construct’s Hit Dice or the creator’s manifester level, whichever is lower." But then later on in the precise power descriptions there are dirrening statements, e.g." The astral construct can manifest energy bolt (manifester level 8th) as a standard action once per round" If my level 11 psion overchannels 2 levels and creates a level 7 astral construct with 13 HD the general rules would mean that the cosntruct can shoot for min(11,13)=11 d6 damage. The power description then would only allow for 8d6. Am i missing something? What damaga can my construct do with an energy bolt? :confused:
Bacris 06-02-07, 07:56 AM	A specific entry overrides an overarcing rule, so it would be 8d6. If the entry did not specify a manifester level, it would be 11d6.
