Is there an limit to how many power points you can use in an augmentation?

Like, can you augmentation a force screen to give a +15 shield bonus just like that, if you have enough power points?

The maximum number of power points you can spend on a single power manifestation (including augments) is equal to your manifester level for the class that grants you that power. So you'd need to be high into epic levels before you could make a force screen that strong.

See the FAQ stickied at the top of the Psionics forum. This question and others like it are very critical to get right, as much of the balance of psionics depends on proper implementation of these rules.

Yes, as soon as your character achieves a manifest level of 45 he can indeed spend the 45 points on a single manifestation of Force Screen to get a +5 bonus (1 point gets you +4, 44 points to get the remainig +11).

LOL - if you're 45 manifesting levels, I would highly doubt Force Screen is something that you would be activating.

I ran a game with a 35 level wizard who would NOT stop casting Shocking Grasp
