How would you augment bows [composite longbow] called forth by Call Weaponry to have strength modifiers that adjust to the wielder's strenght mod value? Will this addition make the power more powerful? Allowing such additional augmentation would be very helpful for psychic warrior archer builds. What do you guys think?

I think one of the relics in the Magic Item Compendium is a bow that automatically adjusts to the wielder's Strength. However, unless you're planning on changing your Strength frequently in the middle of combat, why not just call a bow that happens to have the appropriate Strength modifier?

CrimsonDeath, thanks for the reply. Yup, I do recall that particular item in MIC. However, I raised this question in conjunction with using the bow with strenght of my enemy. I know that power is much more useful for a melee character than an archer, but does help in reducing the offensive prowess of an enemy with each successful hit. So my intent was to maximize the effect of using strength of my enemy with a adjustable pull for a called bow.

A feat that lets you call bows that just auto-adjust all on their own seems reasonable. Or maybe a custom power that you manifest over the bow either once you've called it or as you're calling it similar to Ecto Protection for Astral Construct. Neither of those seems very economical though.

I guess it could be a 2 point augment, but it seems that you'd want to be spending all the PP you could on the enhancement bonus when you could.

Perhaps a new power that creates a special bow from ectoplasm.

Bow
Metacreativity (creation)
Level: Psychic Warrior 2
Display: Material and visual
Manifesting Time: 1 standard action
Effect: One astral bow
Range: 0 ft.
Duration: 1 minute/level
Power Points: 3

You channel ectoplasm into the form of your ideal bow. This bow is identical to a composite longbow or composite shortbow appropriate to your size. It has a +1 enhancement bonus on attack and damage, and it's strength rating always matches your current strength bonus. If your strength bonus changes, such as through animal affinity, then the strength rating of the bow changes to match. If the bow leaves your hand for more than one round, it dissolves back into thought.

Each time you draw the string of your astral bow, you can create a semi-real arrow of ectoplasm. You can make a new arrow for every attack you make. These arrows dissipate one round after leaving the bow, whether or not they strike their target.

Augment: You can manifest this power in one or both of the following ways.
1. If you spend 4 additional power points, this power's duration becomes 10 minutes per level.

2. For every 4 additional power points you spend, the astral bow's enhancement bonus to attack and damage increases by +1.

Lokathor/Inkblot, nice suggestions. Though I was thinking of making the augment as a special one for call weaponry but for bows only. I want to use the special augment for call weaponry with the feat Soulbound Weapon from a Mind's Eye article. Coupled with strength of my enemy, the combination of these powers and the feat lets me maximize the damage potential of an archer while decreasing that of my enemy. I like the potential of Soulbound Weapon enhancements that lets you pick its enhancement properties depending on the situation, thereby further maximizing the potential of my archer.

Anyway, perhaps a 2 or 3 pp augment would not be unbalancing to add to call forth a bow that matches the wielder's strength mod, especially if that will change during the [call weaponry] power's duration.
