04-08-08, 12:15 AM Biofeedback + elan resilience, enhanced stack... lets suppose i'm taking 6 of dmg, if i have biofeedback activated and spend 1 power point i don't take any damage at all?
Identify, psionic (2nd level power) can be used to identify magic itens if i use the transparency rule? (it will be cool if i can cause then i won't need to pay 100 gold pieces of the material component. Is it ok?

That would be correct.

Ask you dungeon master. Really under magic/psionics transparency this isn't covered, so you should get the default no. However, it wouldn't be unreasonable to allow this.

Yes, if the damage in question is subject to DR and you can take an immediate action, then you prevent 4 points and bounce the remaining 2 off of DR.

Yes, but don't get too excited. The 100 gp pearl is actually a better deal within a few levels. The manifestation time is 1 day. That doesn't mean 1 action then the effect lasts a day, or you spend a day with the item then manifest the power. You actually spend a day manifesting. So if your party has pulled 7 items out of a dungeon, while they are getting a week of downtime, you are spending a week ID'ing items. Saving 100 gp per identification is a big deal at low levels, but at mid to high levels 1 day of your time is worth more. Think your average adventurer can't earn more than 100 gp in a day of dungeon delving? Spend 1 day killing monsters and taking their stuff and you get XP, cash, a prizes. Spend 1 day identifying and you get what a mage could have got in 1 hour for a paltry savings of 100 gp.

I think it is, in some cases (borderline) broken, but it's still a really fun feat to use.

04-09-08, 01:10 PM Only borderline broken?! On small powers it's Quicken with a 5-power-point discount. On big powers it lets you do things like create a new universe inside of 6 seconds. And then there's the sloppiness and ambiguity in the feat text itself. Link Power is broken.

So what actually happens if you link Identify as the second power? It seems like it still takes all day, and you still need to maintain contact with the item (target is: Item touched) but it requires no further attention from you (that is supposed to be Link Power's advantage) so you are not suffering attacks of opportunity for the entire day.
Yes, Link Power is broke. At the very least, it should have a 2 point or higher cost of its own added to the cost of the second power.
