06-27-07, 06:49 PM When I play Spell Swords are the like I use mithril shirt from the DMG. It only has 10% spell failure, gives a +4 to AC, and has a max dex a +6(I think).

Wasn't there a feat that also decreased ASF?

06-28-07, 07:46 AM I don't think so - only a feat that, if you can cast freely in a certain category of armors, allows you to cast freely in armors 1 category heavier. Some PrCs reduce ASF, though.

I prefer a githcraft mithral shirt with thistledown padding. Cheap, nonmagical (so that it doesn't bog down the cost of enhancement bonuses and other abilities), and includes a +1 bonus on Concentration checks.

The only downside is that most githyanki will be annoyed to see you wearing it (but most githyanki will be annoyed to see you alive, so who cares?).

06-28-07, 06:09 PM The Twilight Mithril Shirt (as mentioned above) is good if you want physical armor that can be magically enhanced as you go. For straight AC bonus, though, Inertial Armor has the edge on Mage Armor, but it does take a power slot, so you may want to use Mage Armor instead. Just depends on where you want to invest it (power slot, spell slot, or physical item). Keep in mind that as force effects, the Mage Armor and Inertial Armor are effective against incorporeal creatures.

06-29-07, 09:47 AM As a cerebremancer you should have more supernatural energy than you know what to do with. Use Mage Armor if you don't know Inertial Armor.
