Chained Power [Archive] - Wizards Community

I have a question about Chained Power. It says that the feat can only be used on a power with a "single target" and that the power has to use fire, electricity, sonic, cold, etc. (the energy line?). I can't find any powers that this can be applied. I think there is only one power from what I found this morning? Energy missle affects five targerts. The is an Engery spell that functions as a cone. Most energy spells affect multiple targets and you don't even have to roll to hit.

I'm sure that I'm missing something. This morning, I searched the Forums FAQ and the internet for answers, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.

Can someone shed some light on this?

07-13-07, 09:49 AM Energy ray, energy push, energy retort (iffy on this one, but I believe it would work) That's three right there. :)

I don't mean to be insulting by any means, but that is still accounts for 2 or maybe three powers. The feat just doesn't seem too applicable.

I was looking into this feat because I'm making a Kineticist who will use most energy powers, but this feat won't apply to any of the powers. The feat seems like it was made specificly for Engery powers by reading it's description.

07-13-07, 11:51 AM note that Energy Missile does work .. if and only if you use it to target a single target .. (ie don't target 2 or more ..)

Complete psionics has another I noted the other day ..
Energy Lance.
oh and Energy Flash (I think) - touch ..

07-13-07, 12:45 PM Yeah, skip this one. If you want to do energy damage to more than one target, you already have plenty of options that don't involve burning a feat or expending focus.
