I was shocked at how inefficient Cloud Mind was against characters of that level - especially because if an ally makes its save, it can use a move action "to warn the subject, and thereby grant it a new saving throw." I'm starting a new Eberron campaign with psionic characters who were looking at Cloud Mind and I told them that I was thinking of making it augmentable. So: would it be imbalanced to make the power augmentable (+2 PP to increase save DC +1)? Or even to increase the number of targets (+3 PP to influence one additional target)? |

"Augment: For every two additional power points you spend, the saving throw DC of this power increases by +1, and you can affect two additional creatures within range." Out of curiosity, how were you running the intellect devourer? Did you just have it pop out of the bushes and try to bite the PCs? Did you have it take over the body of a town mayor and order to guards to arrest the PCs? Also, the intellect devourer has cloud mind at will. It could hide inside it's host for a minute while it manifests cloud mind on each PC individually. |

| InkBlot07-06-07, 11:31 AM | Yeah. I wrote that augment with replacing mass cloud mind in mind. Now instead of suddenly leaping from "1 target DC 12+int" to "11 targets DC 16+int there's a gentle gradient; a more gradual increase in efficacy each level. |
