07-11-07, 11:00 AM Ok, probably been explained and ok'd/shot down but:

Assuming you can get the creature of your choice to go along with it, could you:

Cast true mind switch to say, a Dragon,
followed up by astral seed.
End TMS / reverse it.
Die. (I'm sure the dragon will help on that bit, if it can be trusted. Or just go somewhere safe and kill yourself.)

Use your astral seed to resurrect into the (TMS'd) Dragon? Ok, incurs a bit more than your normal xp penalty, but has the side benefit of the other person retaining their original form.

Killing you for what is less than a day's inconvenience is just icing for them.

Very nice trick for body upgrades. However, you may not even need True Mind Switch, regular Mind Switch works just fine, thanks to how Astral Seed works.
The body’s constituent parts are pulled as ectoplasm from the Astral Plane, then slowly molded and transformed into a living, breathing body that is an exact duplicate of your body at the time you manifested astral seed (the crystal itself breaks down and becomes a part of the new organic body).
Some might by hypersticklers about "your body" under the effect of Mind Switch rather than TMS, but either way, your trick works nicely.

07-12-07, 01:32 AM It is cheap (100 XP) and easy (10 minutes and 1 round), but it does cost you a level. Hopefully, however, you've switched into a beast that more than compensates for that loss.

07-12-07, 06:45 AM Each negative level you have gives you a -1 to just about everything, and you lose some power points, powers, spells, etc..

However, what you're thinking of is level loss, not negative levels. When you lose a level, you do exactly that. You lose everything you gained last time you leveled up.
