First off, what happens when a fusioned char enters an AMF; does he separate with no chance of rejoining. It indicates that spells are suppressed in AMF but if you suppress such a spell it would result in the characters splitting up right? Since they are already split I cant see them just popping back together when they exit the AMF. Also what if there are spells cast on them when they enter. They will get suppressed, they split up, then when they exit who will have the spells still cast on them?

If you're a player, it depends on your DM. They may decide to ram it up ya and go with 'you get split, any buffs you had are now gone, you do not rejoin at the end of it'. They might also go with 'you split, buffs are 'gone' until you exit, at which point you rejoin and regain buffs if the durations havent' ended'
or the dm may go 'you don't split, buffs are supressed.'

If you ARE the DM, I'd suggest the third one, it's the nicest one.

What if its a tournament type thing in which you just want to be most fair and true to the rules. It is my character and I would like the third one, it just does not seem plausable. Of course ive taken several precautions to make sure this does not happen but if it does my char is screwed.

As far as I can tell, the fusion is suppressed, causing you to spring apart as long as either subject is in an anti-magic field. It affects two creatures, so unless it can work on both of them, it doesn't work at all. So if a psion and a fighter fuse, you could AMF and then grapple the psion to stop them from rejoining.

All effects are suppressed in the AMF. As either character emerges, any effects affecting him or cast on the fused being upon entering the field goes back into place. If either creature remains in the AMF, the fusion does not stopped to be suppressed. If both creatures are in touch range when reemerging, the fusioned being reassembles outside the field. That's how I'd do it.

I have a similar question...

What happends to magical affects on the fused being when fusion ends?

Do magical affects already on a being before they enter a fusion stay with them when fusion ends or could the effects get transfered to another being that was in the fusion?

How about magical affects created after the fusion? Ex: Psion fuses with a wizard and then casts the Mind Blank spell. When fusion ends who gets Mind Blannk? The psion in control of the fusion? The wizard since it's a magic spell? Random roll? Would the spell simple vanish and not go to either being? Would it matter if it were psionic Mind Blank?

I don't suppose there is a definite answer to any of these questions. I mean, it says nothing in the power what happens to buff spells on the fused being when it splits so one can only speculate. I'm thinking something similar happens to the buff spells that happens to everything else, they get split evenly. Perhaps you get to choose who gets what and perhaps its random (I would hope you get to choose.)

I know for sure that each character wouldn't get each spell/power because that would bring about some kind of absorption infinite spell/power hack or something. I don't really care to think more into it because it does not matter.

Yeah, Fusion is one of those powers whose exact effects are not entirely described, and leaves a lot to common sense and DM adjudication. For one thing - what does the fused being even look like? Even if the same type is required, you can end up with some pretty bizarre combinations. These kind of things are what you'd want to sort out with your DM before the session starts...

Personally, I'd split the remaining duration between them

The fused being looks like an abomination unto the lord. It has four eyes, four ears, two mouths, two noses, and four arms. It also has four legs, and it's hair is extra long and a mixture of both fused being's colors. The fused being cannot walk properly, and must manage to learn how to walk with four legs. The fused being also gains a +8 to spot and listen, and can eat and talk at the same time without having to bunch it's food into it's cheeks. Clothing that the participants were wearing is fused into a horrible looking blend that makes anyone looking at it have to look away before their eyes start to hurt.

For one thing - what does the fused being even look like?

Duct tape two Goblins together to make a Dolgrim.
Fuse (or duct tape) two Blues together to make a Phrenic Dolgrim.
Fuse two Psions together to make... no idea. But I bet I know their power level. :smirk:

(Hint: It's higher than 8999.)

Since they are already split I cant see them just popping back together when they exit the AMF. Also what if there are spells cast on them when they enter. They will get suppressed, they split up, then when they exit who will have the spells still cast on them?

The first part is easy; the creatures remain separated while they're in the antimagic field then rejoin when they're outside it. It helps if you remember that fusion is a continuous effect; the two creatures are normally distinct individuals, but the power contains them in one body for its duration. The creatures separate in an antimagic field because it interferes with the force holding them together; once that obstacle is removed, the power of fusion recombines them. Since the fusion power cannot affect just one creature, both the subjects would need to be outside the antimagic field to be recombined. However, the "touch" range of the effect is only required for the initial manifestation, so the creatures would rejoin regardless of the distance between them.

The application of other spell/power effects during separation is less clear, but I'd suggest that the effects belong to the creature at which they were originally targeted. So, effects used on creature "A" prior to fusing return to creature "A", effects used on creature "B" prior to fusing return to creature "B", and effects used on the fused creature "C" during fusion disappear because creature "C" no longer exists. If fusion is suppressed by an antimagic field, effects on creature "C" disappear until it is reformed (if their duration has not expired by that time).

Apart from anything else, I think that the above assignment of effects is logically sound while avoiding any excess complications with deciding who gets what effect.
