I want to play this (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20020927b) class, but I think it is a bit underpowered. Any ideas about good ways to buff it a little?

First step would probably be to convert it to 3.5. The link still talks about psionic attack and defense modes, and free use of talents (which were always cool, and likely should be brought back), indicating it's using 3.0 psionics, which are vastly different, and generally considered sucky.

... Not to mention it requires a feat that no longer exists. :)

Ok, but could someone convert it for me? I'm not really that good at that kind of thing... Heh heh...

Ah right, inertial armor... love that feat.

Change manifesting to "Ability to manifest 3rd-level powers, including inertial armor"

At all levels where it grants "+1 psychic warrior manifesting" in powers discovered, grant "+1 existing manifesting class" if you prefer a generic progression, or nab the progression from the warmind or psychic fist (fist of zuoken for those with the actual XPH, not SRD) and slap the full thing in there. Be sure to limit their powers to psychic warrior if you do that.

I'm not sure what improved inertial armor is, but I assume that it's some sort of augment to the normal feat, so I'd take whatever benefit it gives and add it as a unique augment to the inertial armor power, say "2 power points: The armor bonus increases by 2. You can only apply this augment once per manifesting." Each time to gain the class ability, you can add another use/manifesting to the special augment.

As for the last ability, grant them teleport as a spell-like ability 1/day, with the ability to spend 9 power points to be granted another daily use. As written, it seems more in the spirit to allow this sort of "free manifesting", instead of granting it as a power known, rather than just giving them teleport as a power known with all of the augments.

Allow all diamond warrior levels stack with monk levels for determining AC, speed, unarmed damage, and flurry of blows. Ignore the unarmed damage and unarmed base attack bonus columns, and replace power points and powers discovered with manifesting (or max- power level, power points, and powers known, if going with a unique progression, as stated above)

Improved Inertial Armor can be found here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/pse/20020927c).

The class definitely is worth converting.

Improved Inertial Armor for this class should automatically add an augment of two points to the power when cast. This would allow the caster to exceed the augment cap by only two.

The evasion ability should also state that if you have this ability from another class then you get improved evasion. If you already have improved evasion then either state that character can choose another feat (maybe provide list) or the character gains nothing.

Diamond soul ability should also state that if magic transparency used that this would equal same level of magic resistance.

Not sure what to replace for "0 level powers".

Feat requirements may need to be tweaked because the class requires "speed of thought" yet it offers that feat later in levels.

Here (http://boards1.wizards.com/wotc_archive/index.php/t-308512.html)was an attempt to convert to 3.5 by someone in 2004. I might try to convert this in a separate thread.

I do believe that somewhere on the Third Eye was a 3.5 translation of the class as well. I really liked the old Diamond Warrior and Mindknight Prestige Classes. Tashalotara is nice but still isn't the same, and requires a lengthy investment 8/.
