1. Can you use this to teleport a person/object into mid air?

2. If #1 is possible and want to teleport an object over someone, do you use the "improvised" weapon rules for damage and roll to hit? Or would it be a set reflex save DC for 1/2 damage?

3. Is the maximum weight progression for objects 300/600/900/1200... or 300/600/1200/2400...?

Thanks

Yes, you can dimtwist your victim into mid air.

No, you're not physicaly tossing him, so you don't use the thrown object rules.

Use the falling object rules, on page 303 of the DMG, to determine the damage the subject of dimtwist will deal to anybody he lands on.

Edit: Page 303 doesn't say whether it should be a ranged attack on your part, or a reflex save on the target's part. Traps that drop objects on people use attack rolls, so you might want to do that. You'd take a -4 penalty for being nonproficient with dropping people, and -2 for every 10 feet. It would be a normal ranged attack, rather than a touch attack, because armor can help absorb the blow.

Sorry, I edited my post...

I was intending on using the power to teleport large objects over a targets head and let it fall on them.

If a large heavy object does 5d6+1d6 for every 200lb over 400lbs, then that's quite a bit of damage.

I wasn't sure on the weight progression though. If it's 300/600/1200/2400/4800, then I can augment the power 4 times. 13psp and do 5d6+22d6=27d6 damage.

In my opinion, that should be a touch attack since armor or shield isn't going to protect you much from a heavy object falling on you.

Normal attack. Why do you think construction workers wear hard hats? Armor, shields, and helmets can definately protect you from the crushing force of a heavy boulder.

Also, traps that drop rocks on people make normal attack, and stone giants that throw boulders at people make normal attacks. I looked it up in the DMG, MM, and SRD.

I agree normal attack. Otherwise it is too much damage for not much effort, game balance wise
