| Dark Wizard08-05-07, 11:50 PM | I've been looking at the divine mind. Something about it seems off, I guess bland is one way of putting it. Are there any PrCs that can work well with it, something that might fit with the flavor of the class? |
| Deekin08-06-07, 12:12 AM | No. It's a Nerfed combination of Paladin, Marshal and psi-warrior. |
| Rhonin the Big08-06-07, 12:19 AM | Implosion Evocation Level: Clr 9, Destruction 9 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Targets: One corporeal creature/round Duration: Concentration (up to 4 rounds) Saving Throw: Fortitude negates Spell Resistance: Yes You create a destructive resonance in a corporeal creature’s body. For each round you concentrate, you cause one creature to collapse in on itself, killing it. (This effect, being instantaneous, cannot be dispelled.) You can target a particular creature only once with each casting of the spell. Implosion has no effect on creatures in gaseous form or on incorporeal creatures. |

I was going to make a joke about this not working for me, because my Divine Mind was already a level 10 Psion Uncarnate, but that would be an Epic character, so I don't think anyone would believe me. |
| Dark Wizard08-06-07, 08:06 PM | Okay, so the divine mind is a definite lost cause. Any suggestions on using psionics for a paladin archetype? |
| CrimsonDeath08-06-07, 08:51 PM | Ardent. You're missing out on martial weapons, but you do get heavy armor. Conflict, Good, Guardian, Justice, Law, Life, and Physical Power seem like thematically appropriate mantles. Illithid Slayer and Sanctified Mind can help shore up your combat abilities. |
| Dark Wizard08-08-07, 02:03 AM | Thanks, I give those a look. |
| The_Shaman08-09-07, 10:21 AM | I'm partial to a paladin-wilder-sanctified mind combo, but it's a bit more complex. BTW, I think one of the newer web article introduced mantles as an option for psychic warriors. |
