Stats are huge and would not get those increases thru leveling.

02-26-08, 11:06 PM It's almost never a good idea to lose manifester levels, and in this case DEFINITELY isn't, especially since you'll have racial Hit Dice on top of your LA.

Try being a changeling from Eberron. 0 HD and 0 LA. (Most) of the sweet, sweet, shapechanging goodness.

02-27-08, 02:49 AM If you have Races of Eberron, you could try the Cabinet Trickster prestiege class. It pretty much has the Doppelganger flavor, but only loses five manifester levels instead of eight. If you can get Disguise as an Ardent class skill, you could even take Practiced Manifester and avoid losing out on high-level powers.

Alternatively (or maybe additionally), there are some interesting Changeling Egoist substitution levels in RoE.
