Bacris 03-18-07, 06:00 PM	Yup Mind Blade (Su): As a move action, a soulknife can create a semisolid blade composed of psychic energy distilled from his own mind. The blade is identical in all ways (except visually) to a short sword of a size appropriate for its wielder. Short sword is a light weapon. WEAPON FINESSE [GENERAL] Prerequisite: Base attack bonus +1. Benefit: With a light weapon, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category
Tempest Stormwind 03-18-07, 06:08 PM	Bacris is correct. However, you should note that if it's in a nonlight form (longsword, bastard sword, or others depending on feats) it cannot be finessed.
Racinante 03-18-07, 06:33 PM	As I recall, if you take Weapon Finesse Short Sword, you can use it for a mindblade in Short Sword form, but this doesn't apply to the mindblade in any other form.

I believe that's 3.0. In 3.5 Weapon Finesse applies to all light weapons, plus some one-handed, and at least two two-handers.
carnivore 03-19-07, 12:31 PM	Bacris and Tempest Stormwind are correct.......with one exception.....if you have access and are allowed to use Oriental Adventures.....the PrC Iaijutsu Master gives a form of Weapon Finnesse which works with the Katana(Bastard Sword).... :D

The Soul knife has a very decent HD so you can survive in meele finghtin.. and tho you dont have the BAB of a fighter.. you can make you mindblade has +4 magic attribute.. makin it easier to hit and getting better damage.
