Here's a rough draft of a power that takes advantage of the cover rules. Constructive criticism is welcomed. Ectoplasmic Screen Metacreativity Level: Shaper 7 Display: Auditory, visual, and material Manifesting Time: 1 standard action Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level) Target: See text Duration: 1 round/level (D) Saving Throw: None Power Resistance: No Power Points: 13 Once per round as an immediate action, you can create a parabolic screen of translucent ectoplasm in any square within range. The screen is up to 5' tall and 5' wide. A screen provides cover, improved cover, or total cover, depending on its height and its placement. A screen has hardness 10 and 40 hit points. A screen lasts until your next turn or until it is destroyed, at which point it evaporates. You can use a screen to mitigate or block attacks or powers (except spreads). Augment: You can augment this power in one or more of the following ways. For every 2 additonal power points you spend, screens created by you can be 5' taller or wider. For every 2 additional power points you spend, screens gain 5 additional hardness and 10 additional hit points.
