| Sagansim06-16-07, 05:04 PM | Just a quick question on the Elocater prestige class requirements, page 143 of the XPH. The requirements are a BAB of +3, 8 ranks of Concentration, Mobility and Spring Attack, and ability to manifest 1st level powers. Not that bad, seeming to be able to fit the requirement by most (pyschic warriors or fighter/psy war mix) at 5th level with the BAB of +3 and 8 ranks of Concentration, but Spring Attack requires a base attack bonus of +4, forcing pure Pyschic Warriors or Wilders to go to 6th and psions to 8th. So why would the prereqs require a +3 BAB when the required feat needs a +4. And why would a class only require Mobility and Spring Attack when Dodge is obviously also required in both those feats, why drop it out? I guess the question is more rhetorical, but I just don't understand the requirements to this prestige, mainly because of Spring Attack which is necessary for some of the class abilities. Any thoughts on what to do to simplify this class or from folks who have actually used the prestige? |

Kineticists were going to be able to choose an energy to specialize in (you can see the remnants of this in the astral construct menus). Perhaps nomads were going to get Spring Attack as a bonus feat. At any rate, the prereqs are what they are. They aren't realy an error. Until somebody finds a way to get Mobility and Spring Attack without Dodge and BAB +4, it doesn't realy matter anyway. |
