So here is a senario we will say bob manifests share pain on tyler, he then manifests empathic transfer on tom he does not augment it. he rolls 2d10 as normal and gets 16 total. that means he takes 8 but he has share pain manifested and takes 4 and tyler takes 4.

No. Due to the wording of empathic transfer, you lose hit points, you do not take damage. You lose 8 hp and tyler loses none. Specifically in Empathic Transfer Powers and abilities you may have...do not lessen or change this damage. Such as is parenthetical and refers to any powers or abilities that lessen or change the damage. Two examples are then given, but these are not all inclusive of ways to change or lessen the damage.
